The Prosecuting Attorney and the deputies review police reports, evidence, and bring\u00a0allegations of violations of Indiana Law to the court through official charges. Prosecuting Attorney\u2019s are then responsible for presenting the case to the court through the criminal process with defense attorneys. A case can be resolved through a formal trial, a plea agreement or a dismissal of the case. In addition, the Prosecuting Attorney\u2019s office handles child support. The role of the Attorney\u2019s Office in Child Support is to help custodial parents locate parents, establish paternity, obtain financial support and medical insurance.
